Neo-Nazis inhibit concert against Facism

On March 8th, 2006, songwriter Constantin Wecker was supposed to have a concert in a school in Halberstadt (Sachsen-Anhalt). It was titled "Nazis, go out of this town!"
Local "National Democratic Party" (NPD) didn't like it (after all, they're fucking Nazis), so they intervened. They said, that Wecker would do promotion for left parties for the forthcoming election of the state parliament. They told the local administration, that they would "actively participate on that event" - everybody knows what that means when talking about those people. After that, the local administration stopped the concert because it was a "commercial event", which wouldn't be allowed in a school. But District Administrator Hans-Dieter Sturm also acknowledged that the concert would have been allowed without the threats of the NPD.
Germany's Jewish Organization ("Zentralrat der Juden") and the Left Party protested against the decision of Halberstadt.
Constantin Wecker said, he plans to make a large open-air concert in Halberstadt in summer this year.

Update: If you want to tell the Halberstadt-Politicians your opinion, you can do so here or (anonymized) here. Why anonymized? Well, if the politicians are so willingly serving the Nazis, then why shouldn't they give away your name, adress and/or IP to the NPD...

there really are still nazis, huh? remnants from hitler's heyday. we have them here too. skinheads. and right now they're making a comeback using some mary-kate and ashley type girly singers to spread their word. in fact, white supremacists are using music in general as a recruiting tool. they pass out their cd's outside of public schools.....
