News on Intelligent Design

This article talks about new developments in the "nation's culture war over the teaching of evolution". Two groups (the National Academy of Sciences and the National Science Teachers Association) sent a letter to Assistant Education Commissioner Alexa Posny saying that the state of Kansas will not be granted permission to use their science curriculum materials. Included are the National Science Education Standards, which serve as the foundation for science curricula in virtually every state in the US.
Oh, and here's how Australia handles ID.
After all, if Intelligent Design is taught at schools, I hope, they will teach the creationist theory of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (deutsche Sektion: Kirche des Fliegenden Spaghettimonsters), too!!!
